KROPP PARK

Public BBQ

Tucked between Tugan and Currumbin along the bikeway, Kropp Park delivers a surprisingly intimate coastal experience. The secluded stretch of beach here feels wonderfully removed from the busier sections of the Gold Coast, with miles of pristine white sand perfect for long walks or a proper swim. The park itself sits beautifully positioned right on the seafront, though fair warning - the coastal aspect makes it rather susceptible to wind on blustery days. What impressed me most were the thoughtful facilities: free BBQs complete with boiling water urns, well-maintained shower and toilet blocks, covered seating areas, and a decent playground that keeps the kids entertained. The close parking is a blessing, especially when you're loaded down with picnic gear. There's even overhead security cameras for peace of mind. The setting proved so picturesque that couples regularly choose it for beachside weddings - hardly surprising given the stunning, secluded backdrop. Whether you're after a family day out or simply want to escape to one of the Gold Coast's more peaceful corners, this little gem delivers exactly what you'd hope for.
